Sarah Sullivan, LICSW, LCSW-C

Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Sarah started her clinical career after almost a decade of experience working with individuals and families through domestic violence prevention and child welfare. She has provided psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families with diverse identities, backgrounds, and life experiences. Her work is grounded in the understanding that mental health is shaped by both personal experiences and broader social systems—including culture, community, family, and structural factors—and she strives to provide care that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and tailored to each individual's unique context.

Sarah’s approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that healing happens through safe, authentic relationships. Sarah is trained in a range of treatment modalities including attachment based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, expressive art, and family systems therapy.

Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Elon University and her Masters of Social Work from Texas State University. She is licensed in both DC and Maryland.
